This was basically the same 3rd National Tour that I had last seen in Sacramento. It was my first time seeing Ivan Rutherford as Valjean. He wasn't very strong in this production. But a few years later, I saw him do some incredible performances in the role. This time it seemed difficult for him to hit the high notes, like during "What Have I Done". Then he sang a little off-pitch during "Bring Him Home". Ron Baker's Javert was tired vocally again. Susie McMonagle had a very sweet sounding voice and did a very good job as Fantine. Andrew Redeker as Marius wasn't quite as strong as the last time I saw him but he still did his part very well. The standout performance was definitely the new addition of Christeena Michelle Riggs as Eponine. She was terrific. She really aced her part. She sang flawlessly and with a lot of style. I especially liked how she sang "On My Own" and "A Little Fall of Rain".
